Allied Shirts Review

I was recently given the chance to create my own custom t-shirt from AlliedShirts.com. It seemed like a fun opportunity so I eagerly accepted. I dove right into their online utility that helps with the process… You can add text, art (upload your own and browse their clipart) and they’re working on getting it setup so you can add names to the back of the shirt.

Designing the shirt was easy to do and I was happy with what I created on the screen.

I took a play on the shirt that we’ve all seen, but added my own spin to it. A statement I’ve used many a time.

Running: It’s cheaper than therapy, although some of us need both!

However… the color I saw on screen was not true to life for the shirt I received. I like the color I received… but the black text I chose didn’t show up very well.

Allied Shirts t-shirt: Running is cheaper than therapy, but some of us need both.

So now it’s mainly a shirt that says “Running” on it. That still works for me, even if slightly disappointing from my original plan. I should have chosen a different shirt color.

They have several options of shirts in gender specific cuts. I received the “budget” Gildan version, but they have fashion options, long-sleeve options, hoodies, sweatshirts as well as unisex options. The one thing that they’re missing is wicking material. If they had that option and the name function was working, it would be fun to build shirts for a Relay race with this where each runner got their name and runner number on the back of the shirt.

and
Printcopia

I also recommend BuildASign… we got our magnets for Ragnar from there, they worked great and the service was fast/efficient!

  1. The thing about these printers is they automate of their printing process. So they don’t actually check your t-shirt before sending it to the printers. The advantage is you get them at a good price for something that is custom printed.

  2. Extremely disappointing experience with AlliedShirts.com
I ordered a week ago some T-Shirts for a School Reunion with my old buddies from High School, ordered and paid online (guaranteed delivery day 08/16/2018), called them last Thursday to make sure everything was in place and we would be good for delivery on the agreed date, and today (08/13/2016) I get an email from someone in the art department, stating that my order was on hold, and it needed approval…. I had already talked to them on Thursday… Long story short, they now tell me that there is no way I will get my shirts on time for our reunion, the person I talked to, had no sense or urgency or even a sincere concern about what now has turned in to a very frustrating experience.
    Sincerely
