A while ago I was asked if I would like to review a laundry spray from Better Life, makers of all natural cleaning products. I told them that it would be great to test that, because in addition to sweaty runner clothes, I have a baby who spits up and poops on her clothes. (Blunt, but true!) We have some hardcore stuff to test on!
Well, not only did they send me the laundry spray, but they sent a bottle of their 2am Miracle spray. We’ll get to that in a moment. First, the stain and odor remover!
Not only can you spray this on your laundry to defunk it, but you can spray it on laundry stains… or on carpet stains, or on hard surfaces. It can be used as a spot treatment or dump some in as a detergent booster. Every load of laundry I’ve done with this has come out smelling fresh once more, and every single baby stain I’ve encountered thus far since using this has come clean. Every… single… one. I’ve used it on clothes and on spit-up on the carpet.
Onto the 2am miracle spray, I love this stuff! Love love love love it. Seriously! I keep a bottle of it in Alex’s nursery and use it to wipe down her furniture each week. (Daily when we run the humidifier, because that deposits an ugly white film all over her beautiful black furniture.) I just feel like I’m doing something good for her environment by cleaning it with something that doesn’t feel like complete poison.
Not only is the spray non-toxic so it’s safe for all of the baby surfaces, it smells lovely. The scents of lavender and chamomile are relaxing scents, so it adds a little spa-like feeling to the room without being overpowering.
The CEO of Better Life is a marathoner and triathlete with two kids. And the co-founder, the “mad scientist” behind it is so secure about these products being safe he will spray them in his face and drink them. Would you do that with a can of typical cleaning stuff? They’re committed to this product line.
They have an array of products, which you can view on their website. Most of the products are about $6.99 for a bottle, so more than you’d pay for typical big-box store fare but I feel that it’s completely worth it for the security in knowing you’re not spraying chemicals all over your home. Products can be purchased at Whole Foods and I’m seriously considering tossing most of my cleaning stuff and re-filling the supply with this line. (In fact, now that I think of it…. THIS is what I wanted to look for at Whole Foods. I was driving by yesterday and thought to myself, “Wasn’t there something you wanted to stop in and look for there?” I hate when I remember things like this after the fact!)
If you’re interested in winning a bottle of the Odor and Stain Eliminator, just leave a comment telling me what you are doing to be a little more green or what your laundry struggles are or even just what your favorite color is!
In the past, I tried to mix up a batch of homemade laundry detergent (borax, soap powder…and other things) — but that didn’t work so well. Even used white vinegar as a natural booster. But it never seemed to work well. I’m going to keep my eye out for this since I try to use as many natural cleansers as possible due to two felines who love to lick everything!
Favorite color is yellow. 😉
