RaceReady StreamLine Shirt

Are you familiar with RaceReady gear? I remember when I first started running I would see ads for RaceReady in the back of Runner’s World magazine, shorts with a lot of pockets along the back to hold all your gels, ID and such.

They have a new item in their product lineup and they sent it to me to give it a try: the StreamLine Tech Tee.

RaceReady StreamLine shirt

This shirt is bright Bright BRIGHT! You won’t be missed wearing this shirt. It also comes in lime and gray. The StreamLine shirt is made from moisture wicking tech material that has anti-odor properties and it has a reflective logo on the center. Those are good features, but the really nice thing about this shirt is the channel down the front for your headphones cord.

Oh, you don’t want the cord going down the front? There’s a channel down the back too! You have options!

If you wear your phone/audio device on your arm, well… this isn’t going to work for that. But if you’ve got your device at the waist, it’s really nice to have the cord tucked neatly out of the way. I think they assume you’re going to pair this with RaceReady bottoms, since they all have storage at the waist for your schtuff. I haven’t tried any of their bottoms, but if they’re made like the shirt… they’re quality. The shirt is soft and has a nice, flattering fit. Not too tight and not too loose, it drapes well with a good shape. Cords feed through easily on their own, but you can also feed the cord through when it’s actually connected to your phone; the channel is wide enough for that! Doing it that way allows the weight of your phone to feed it through with the aid of gravity so you can head out for a run that much faster.

The shirt retails for $30.95 on the RaceReady website, their gear is also solid in several retail stores around the country. Orders of $100 or more on RaceReady.com are eligible for free shipping in the US.

  1. That is a great idea. I have this elaborate system for my headphone cords that doesn’t always work. It involves put it in my bra.

  2. Have you heard of Gracie’s Gear? She’s going to launch again May 5. She makes long and short tanks (basically sports bras) with a zipper pocket that’s awesome to hold stuff too.
