2Toms Sports Products (A Review)

2Toms ProductsI’ve had the opportunity to try a few items from 2Toms line-up of sports products.  Right off the bat, I was impressed with them.  I like their packaging for the Stink Free items… they feel kind of funky to me and caught my eye.

SportShield Roll-On

This product is designed to help with chafing. Just roll it on along any trouble areas, and you are good to go.  There was no odor and no staining.  I liked how easily it is applied, due to the deodorant-like roller ball.

The bottle holds 1.5 oz of product and the ingredients are: Dimethicone, Aloe Vera Extract, Vitamin E. Pretty simple.  It washes off with soap and water post-run, so you’re good to go.

They also sell it in smaller individual packets. These could be handy for sticking in a waist pack for during race use if you are an individual that experiences really bad chafing issues.

SportShield Roll-On retails for $12.99.

Stink Free Spray

This spray is designed to kill the bacteria inside shoes that make them STANK.  It doesn’t have strong perfumes that just cover odors, it is designed to actually remove the source of the smell.

I just spray this inside my running shoes after each run, just to make sure I don’t end up with stinky shoes, even though I’ve never noticed troubles with smell emanating from my running shoes.  Where it really comes in handy is in shoes that are typically worn without socks… those ones usually get worse than other shoes.  So shoes like my Vibram Five Fingers and Kigos… those really benefit from a spritz of this stuff.

An 8 oz. bottle of Stink Free Spray retails for $9.99.

Stink Free Sports Detergent

I’ve tried a few different sports-specific detergents and this one ranks right up near the top.  It doesn’t leave your clothes smelling overly perfume-y.  Instead, they come out of the wash smelling fresh.  Which is so good, because sports apparel can have the tendency to hang on to odors, due to the fact that it is designed to wick your sweat away from your body.

I’m a big believer in sport detergents working better on technical apparel and I was impressed with this one.  It is safe for both top-loading and front-loading HE washers.  (The nice thing about the HE machines is that it uses half as much, so you’re doubling the loads you get out of a bottle.)

A 30 oz. bottle of Stink Free Sports Detergent retails for $12.99 and it is also available in 2 oz. sample size packs. (Those are kind of hard to dump in the wash and save half the pack… I’d go with the full bottle!)

2Toms products are sold online as well as at several retails. They have a utility on their site to locate a retailer closest to you.  They also have blister prevention and saddle sore products.

Legalese: These products were provided to me for free. The opinions here are my own though.
