Oh foam rolling… you’re so good for me, yet you can cause me so much pain. And yet, it’s a good kind of pain. That weird moment when the pain in the knot peaks and then releases it delightful! Yet there are times I just can’t figure out how to get the roller to dig into my trouble spots. (Hi upper back/shoulders!)
I was sent the new ensō roller by EvoFit and it is super cool! Innovation in foam rolling!
It’s very lightweight, despite the heavy-duty look of it! The discs on it can move on the rod in the center so it provides a more customized approach to attacking trigger-points! I can move the discs spaced out so I can roll up and down my back, leaving a channel so my spine isn’t irritated by the rolling.
But if I’m having a lot of tricky spots in my IT band or glutes, I can push all the discs together to really focus on the region.
You can even pop off all the discs to make a hand-held roller.
It really is a pretty amazing piece of equipment. Everybody is unique… this makes it so you can really target your own trouble spots in an individualized way!
It retails for $89 and can be purchased online. They also have a smaller travel version that sells for $69. If you’re in the market for a new roller, check this one out. If you’re not in the market but feel like foam rolling isn’t effective or could be better, check this one out. I’m seriously impressed with it!
