I was recently sent a Swowel… a personal workout towel that hooks around your waist so you don’t have to hold it throughout your workout.
It comes in a little bag for storage and for washing.
The towel is soft and the belt is very resizable so it can fit anyone. Once it’s around your waist, it’s so lightweight that you don’t even notice it’s there.
As for utility? I don’t see it being useful on runs where I leave straight from my house and then run back home. If I wanted something to blot my forehead midrun, this wouldn’t be it because I wouldn’t unhook the belt to use it and then re-attach it to myself. The creator came up with the idea from running with a group that would go out to a pizza place post run and needed a way to clean up from the run before dining. I can see using it for that.
But there could be other places this could be handy. What about weightlifting? Or Crossfit? It’s not just solely for running, even if that’s the sport that sparked the creation.
The Swowel unfolds to a 9×9″ square, folds down to a simple triangle for wearing and has a reflective strip on it for added safety. It is available in 9 different colors! It retails for $19.99 and you can get it from the Swowel website.
