Since I’m breastfeeding I need lots of fluids, I’m thirsty ALL THE TIME. Plus the fact that I started to feel like I was coming down with a cold makes me load up on vitamins. Karma Wellness Water came at the perfect time!
According to the manufacturer, vitamins lose some of their potency when sitting in a liquid for a long time. So the unique design of Karma Wellness allows you to inject the vitamin powder into the water right when you’re going to drink it, maximizing the potency of the vitamins.
Plus it’s fun to watch the powder fall into the water… Interactive liquid refreshment!
I got to try 4 of the 5 flavors. I will list them in the order of my preference:
- Vitality – Pineapple Coconut
The “healthy hydration”
Electrolytes, maca, green tea extract
The flavors of this one are subtle and refreshing. I was excited for it just by reading the flavor description! - Spirit – Passionfruit Green Tea
The “mood elevator”
Ginseng, yerba mate, grape seed extract
Another one with a subtle sweetness. - Balance – Acai Pomberry
The “immunity booster”
Lots of Vitamin C and Zinc
The flavor of this one has a little more kick and it seems a little less natural, perhaps because it’s blue. - Body – Raspberry Guava Jackfruit
The “fitness accelerator”
Contains electrolytes and glucosamine.
I could drink this one, but I wouldn’t pick it over and over. My husband said it was nasty.
They also have an orange mango flavor that is for the mine, “sharper thinking”. Judging purely on the flavor profile, I think that one would have been my second favorite, but I didn’t get that one.
You can look on their site for where to buy it in stores, however their list of retailers didn’t include any here in Nevada. In fact, most of the stores are ones that are kind of unfamiliar to me, so I assume they’re mainly east coast?
You can buy a 20-pack of all 5 of their flavors via their website for $42.31, which breaks down to about $2.11 per bottle.
Kind of expensive compared to other drinks, but then again you’re paying for the better quality of vitamins and the innovative packaging. I would definitely grab a bottle of the Vitality flavor if I saw it on the shelves!
Thanks Karma, for letting me try this product!

Tried new flavor of @drinkkarma wellness Mind (orange mango). I thought it was pretty good, but I’d still list the Vitality (pineapple coconut) flavor as my favorite.

I picked one of these up on a recent roadtrip to Missouri (I’m from Michigan) and I LOVED it!! I got it from a gas station just outside of St. Louis and kept the bottle so I could try to find it back home. No deal. I cant seem to fiind it ANYWHERE. I tried the website for Karma and didn’t even have the option of getting through them. I hope Amazon carries it.
I just looked online, it seems they have several flavors available. They’re shipped/fulfilled via Amazon.

Hey Kim, I also live in Michigan and my husband found it at the Family Fare store. If you have a Family Fare store where you live you can try them as well. Or if you have a Horrocks, I also was shopping at Horrocks the other day and found it.
I’m from Michigan and found this at tj maxx in the checkout line
Marshall’s and tj max are where I get mine!
Seriously? I never would guess those locations.
Just had the pineapple coconut and its really good. I thought it would be gritty but know really good. I like
my 12 year old daughter had one of these waters before and during a softball game and I ended up having to take her to the emergency room with severe shaking, stomach ache, nausea, and chest pain because her heart rate went up so high. She ate beforehand and is a very healthy child otherwise. There should be a warning that some of the extracts have high levels of caffeine. I would not refer to this as “wellness water”….it cannot be good for you if it increases heart rate that much. I thought, as a mother, “oh this is water with vitamins as stated on the label, what could it hurt”? Just be careful with these type of drinks…her 78 lb body could not handle all this drink had to offer!
Heather,
The bottle states for adult use only.
I just inspected every side of the bottle several times and it DOES NOT state anywhere that it is for adult use only..
Hi Stephanie,
We did want to let you know that only two of our varieties contain caffeine. The amount of caffeine is approximately 50-60 mg. Those varieties are Karma Vitality & Mind.
However, Karma Body, Balance & Spirit do not contain any caffeine. Feel free to e-mail us at info@drinkkarma.com if you have any questions at all. We are happy to help!
it says adult use only. on the side with the nutritional fsacts near the ingredients on the right hand side it says for adult use only.
It states adult use only, as well as one bottle a day only. Not only do some contain caffeine, B vitamins in too high a dose can give you the jitters. But I have a bottle in my hand that stats both and would eagerly suppy a pic if I could

Hi Heather,
We sincerely apologize for your experience with Karma Wellness Water. We did reach out to you via e-mail to discuss the issue. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any further questions or concerns. We are more than happy to discuss the issue further. We have included our e-mail that we sent to you below, to ensure that you did receive it.
“Thank you for reaching out to us. We are very sorry to learn about your dissatisfaction. But more importantly, we are sorry to hear that your daughter was in the hospital. We sincerely hope that she has fully recovered and is back to being the healthy 12 year old that she is. We understand how scary that situation is as a parent.
We hope you will allow us to explain our point of view. First, Karma is a safe and very healthy beverage. All too often vitamin-enhanced beverages include only a “pixy dust” amount of nutrition in order to make the claim on the label. We are of the opinion that these products are misleading because they do not deliver on their promise. By comparison, Karma contains levels of nutrition that can actually help the product deliver on its promise. Said differently, the consumer gets what they are expecting.
The contents are clearly stated on the supplemental facts panel. We are aware that you may disagree and we respect your opinion, but we are proud of the ingredients in Karma. The Mind variety of Karma is one of five offerings. Three out of the five, Karma Balance, Spirit and Body do not contain any amount of caffeine. Karma Mind specifically, contains 50 mg of caffeine…which is far less than an average cup of coffee and is comparable to a soda. The specific benefit of Karma Mind is mental alertness. That is what that particular Karma offering is intended to deliver to consumers. Caffeine is both a proven and safe ingredient that dates back to ancient Chinese cultures. But as we are sure you are aware, individuals can be sensitive to certain ingredients contained in any product.
In conclusion, we are sorry to learn about your dissatisfaction, and thank you for your consideration. We hope that your daughter is well. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any further questions or concerns. I would be more than happy to speak with you at anytime.”
Thank you,

To the person that write this on the side of the bottle it says don’t use if pregnant or breastfeeding
Hello there!
Our use of the warnings are only a precaution. They are recommended by the Canadian authorities. Although these warnings are part of a new labeling system that takes effect in 2014, Karma wanted to begin the process sooner. The precautionary warnings on Karma Mind (Orange/Mango) are due to Karma’s use of Siberian Ginseng as well as the caffeine content. Those warnings are also noted on Karma Spirit (Green Tea) for the use of Ashwagandha and Glucosamine in Karma Body (Raspberry/Guava).
Each variety of Karma is unique in flavor and function. Here are the three varieties that contain little to no caffeine…
-Karma Balance (Acai Pomberry) does not contain any caffeine or ingredients that could be harmful to a pregnant woman. But make sure to check with your doctor concerning the levels of the vitamins. http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/balance/
-Karma Spirit (Green Tea Passion Fruit) contains a very minimal amount of caffeine. The green tea extract that is used in Vitality and Mind is different than the one used in Karma Spirit (Green Tea/Passionfruit). Vitality and Mind have a much higher concentration of caffeine, at a claimable level, whereas the level is minute in Karma Spirit. However, clearly there is still a very small amount of caffeine in Karma Spirit. The green tea used in Spirit is Camellia sinensis, and there is 12-19 mg of caffeine per 18 oz bottle (naturally occurring from the Green Tea) http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/spirit/
-Karma Body (Raspberry Guava Jackfruit) does NOT contain any level of caffeine. But does contain glucosamine. http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/body/
We suggest to anyone pregnant or breast feeding, that they bring a bottle to their physician before consuming, just to be sure that it is safe for them personally. Just like with any new product. Especially because our vitamins are very potent in Karma Wellness Water.
We do however thank you for looking out for those around you. That is exactly what Karma is all about!
Best,
The Karma Crew
Is karma safe for pregnant women?
It says on the bottle not reccomended
Read the earlier comment replies from the Karma team!
Hello, I just purchase a couple of bottles of the water at the better health store inTaylor, Mich. I have CHF, so I am caffeine restricted. But what I want to know is, the orange mango that I purchase, once its open, do u need to drink the whole bottle at one time or can u drink some later? I didn’t know if It loose some of its potency once its open.
Hello Linda,
You pose an excellent question! First and foremost, we would like to mention that if you are on a caffeine restricted diet we recommend that you try one of our three other Karma Wellness Water varieties.
Karma Mind (Orange/Mango) contains Siberian Ginseng as well as caffeine to help with it’s specific function, which is focus and mental clarity. Karma Vitality (Pineapple/ Coconut) also contains caffeine, which is derived from the green tea extract in this variety. However, we encourage you to try Karma Balance, Spirit or Body. Please three specific information on those three varieties below.
-Karma Balance (Acai Pomberry) is our immunity booster and does not contain any caffeine! http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/balance/
-Karma Spirit (Green Tea Passion Fruit) is our mood enhancer and contains a very minimal amount of caffeine!
-Karma Body (Raspberry Guava Jackfruit) is for fitness acceleration & joint health and does not contain any level of caffeine! http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/body/
Getting back to your original question, no you do not have to drink the entire bottle in one sitting. However, that is a question that we get very often, since vitamins do deteriorate in water. However, once you peel, push and shake, the vitamins will not deteriorate rapidly. You can certainly refrigerate the bottle and drink it over a couple of days.
Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions! We are always to happy to speak with you!
Sending good Karma your way 🙂
Best,
The Karma Crew

I drink Karma religiously. Busy university student with 40 hours or work, 15 hours of school and nearly 45 hrs of homework each week. I do not usually have time to make every meal healthy.
How much caffeine is in your Karma drink that has caffeine?
Hello there klarissa!
We are delighted to hear that you enjoy Karma Wellness Water! Welcome to our Karma Crew 🙂 We agree, Karma is a wonderful way to stay healthy and hydrated (especially for a busy university student such as yourself)! What is your favorite functional variety?
Keep that good Karma flowing!
Thank you!

Hello Blaine,
That is a wonderful question! Two of our varieties contain claimable levels of caffeine. Karma Mind (http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/mind/ ) contains 60mg and Karma Vitality (http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/vitality/) contains 50mg. The caffeine is naturally occurring in the ingredients of both of these varieties, which serve a specific function.
Each variety of Karma is unique in flavor and function. Here are the three varieties that contain little to no caffeine…
-Karma Balance (Acai Pomberry) does not contain any caffeine. http://www.drinkkarma.com/varieties/balance/

I just bought my second bottle of Karma Wellness Water, and I really enjoyed it. The taste is not the best tasting thing in the world but you know what? Lots of vitamins tend not to taste that good, lol. But hey, 15 calories for a whole bottle, I think between the choice of this or Pepsi, I think this one is a better one. I just wanted to say that I’m up in Canada, I bought this at a Mac’s store, it’s a chain of convenience stores here. I think 7eleven also carries it if I’m right.
I just wanted to confirm that my bottle DOES say explicitly (mind you in very small writing) “For adult use only”. It also says, “Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.” So whoever up there couldn’t find that, it is actually on the bottle. Read all sides, it’s in very small type.
A company could come up with the best product in the world and there’d be people complaining and whining about it or their kid would end up sick from it. I mean there are billions of people and all of our biologies are different. I wouldn’t let one bad case ruin it for everyone. I consume caffeine very heavily with coffee, so this drink doesn’t bother my stomach at all. I find that it tastes very good and I’m just saying that my experience with it was a very good one and I’ll buy more in the future.
Yeah a doctor might say, well it has this and this and that and that’s not good for you and this isn’t good for you. Well hell, pick the lesser of two evils, you know? If you’re in a 7eleven and you see rows upon rows of soda pop and you don’t like plain water, then I think this is a great second-best choice (besides just pure water, arguably it’s better than water but that’s debatable of course).
Just purchased a pineapple coconut and there is no for adults only on the bottle nor does it say anything about pregnant women. If yours does send me a pic. lowryda52084@gmail.com
I actually have a case of 20. 5 of each flavor. I don’t see anything about it being for adults only nor do I see anything about pregnant women.
So, by comparison, your drink has about half the caffeine of coffee – hardly enough to hospitalize someone. I have sensitivity to everything, which is how I found this page. I am in the middle of drinking a “balance” karma, (acai & pomberry) and felt a bit jittery so I came online to read about it. I would imagine my reaction is due to one of the extracts, and certainly not the caffeine. Either way, it is a very minimal side effect, that I am sure will pass – but like I said, I am hyper sensitive to anything. I bought the drinks for my daughter who is recovering from mono and WOW, what a difference. In three days (one a day) she has gone from lethargic, barely able to function, to her old self again. I won’t go so far as to say it’s a miracle, but what a difference. And for those of you who want to attack me because I am giving this to my daughter ,she is 16. And has had bloodwork done for her exhaustion, and yes, it is confimed mono that she has been recovering from for a few months. Anyway, to reply to the above, there is a very clear statement on the side of the bottle about ADULTS ONLY. It is located on the side of the drink that has the nutrition facts, near the bottom, under the larger circles that say SW LS G L on them. Note, I am in Canada, perhaps our labeling is different. Anyway, thank you karma. We found ours at Walmart Canada for about $2.25 each.

I think the bottles should be more clearly labelled regarding the warning about don’t drink while pregnant. I drank these for a month while pregnant before I saw the tiny writing on one bottle warning about not recommended if pregnant or breastfeeding. And why does this person’s blog say this is a great way to stay hydrated while breastfeeding if there’s a recommendation to not use while pregnant or breastfeeding???
Hello Saskatchewan Girl,
We apologize if we have caused you any anxiety. Our warnings are only a precaution. By no means are the ingredients contained in Karma Wellness Water deemed dangerous. In fact, all of our ingredients are natural, heart healthy, gluten-free, lactose-free, kosher and do not contain artificial sweeteners, preservatives or artificial coloring. We, along with the help of Health Canada, list this warning for extra precaution for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Please feel free to e-mail us at info@drinkkarma.com and we can speak directly to answer any of your questions or concerns.
Thank you,
The Karma Crew
When “this person” wrote the post over two years ago, there was not a notice about pregnancy/breastfeeding precautions. That’s why I wrote that. You should really direct comments/questions like that directly to those who produce the product as opposed to an individual’s blog.
