InView Designs Medal Display Case

Recently I got a medal display case from InView Designs. And it is BEE-YOO-TEE-FULL! Seriously, this case is so well made, yet it’s also really thoughtfully made.

The cases come in different finishes: walnut, chestnut, ebony and black. I chose to get black… I have a thing for black furnishings. I also chose to get the Loved It case, which holds 10-18 medals, but I can cram in extras because some races have smaller medals. Of course, some bigger medals are a little strange to fit in the case, I have one from the Napa to Sonoma half marathon with a wine cork as part of it, that one doesn’t fit as well as others! Plus I figure over time I may move medals in and out of the case, the really special ones will remain while some of the littler ones can be relegated to a less magnificent presentation!

The case is very easy to fill, simply follow the directions provided in video format by the company! Basically you just slide them in from the back and use a thumbtack to pin the medal ribbons to a strip of corkboard. The back panels slide out so you can easily clean the plexiglass display front if needed. (When I got mine, I took it apart and gave it a wipe down with a Swiffer cloth, that was really all it needed after shipping.)

The video also features instructions for hanging the case on the wall and, while I haven’t tried it yet because I’m still sorting out the arrangement of my office, it looks easy enough that my hubby and I should be able to do it!

The cases are made by Tad Cole, a retired Navy Seal and wannabe professional athlete! His wife introduced him to marathoning and that evolved into triathlons. He noticed that she just kept her race medals in a junk basket and he knew there had to be a better way to display them. Thus… the case and the business.

Want to win your own case?

Wait, let me answer that for you… yes, you do. This case is really amazing.

Tad has agreed to give one case to a lucky recipient. The winner gets to choose which case they want and which finish they want. This is a REALLY great prize, so get into the action to try securing your own!

  1. I’d love to win! I have a medal rack, but it’s about full. I’ll be getting another in November when I do my half and hopefully some more for age group placements in races. I think the Chestnut finish would match my room the best.

    • I’ll make sure you’re counted… did you go back up and click the enter button on the RaffleCopter giveaway after commenting?

  2. I have so many medals that don’t have a home, so this would be absolutely perfect to display my hard work in! I think I’d like the walnut case the best 🙂

  3. This is such a beautiful way to display the medals. I’d be proud to display them in my living room if they were in something so nice…instead of just hanging on a rod in my closet.

  4. Great responses! My wife kept her medals in a basket on the dresser. What a waste; all that hard work hidden and not motivating for the next race or showing your kids accomplishments of hard work.

  5. That is exactly what I need! I need a couple of them. I have not found a nice way to display my medals, especially my marathon ones. I have been hanging all of them on a belt hook. Right now they are in a box because I can’t find a good place for the belt hook in the new house.

  6. this is a nice case! i actually like it better than those metal ones that have circulated the blogosphere.

    • that question is hidden 😉 i was wondering what everyone was talking about. i think i would do the Liked It in Ebony stain.

  7. I would love to win the “addicted” case in black–I have all my medals hanging on hooks under a mirror now, but there are so many that it’s looking kind of ragged. This would be a great solution!

  8. This would be perfect for my daughter who is graduating from high school to place all her gymnastic medals. Chestnut is a great color!
