Meaningful

To me it didn’t just apply to running (although, reading the book ‘Born to Run‘ makes the case that all of us were born to run!). To me the meaning went so much deeper…
To me, it meant I was BORN TO LIVE!
If you’ve been reading this site for a while, you know some of the challenges I’ve battled. I’m still battling. And there was a time where I wasn’t sure that I wanted to live anymore. I’m glad I’m to a point now where even bad days don’t make me feel that despondent anymore. There are still battles, but I think I’m on the uphill climb. (Why do uphills get such a bad rep in running yet they’re indicative of good forward progress in life?)
I admit, I am still a little afraid at times… but remembering this motto perhaps I can fake it ’til I make it.

I love the I am not afraid. It is a good reminder. I have been catching up slowly but surely. I didn't write it on my blog because I just cannot be sure, but I am going to try to work the Las Vegas 1/2 into my schedule next year. And if I can't work in a race, we MUST figure out a way to meet!
