My mom and I were chatting back and forth this morning. She told me that it started sprinkling partway through her run. In an effort to get home before the rain really started to fall, she managed to cut 5 minutes off her usual time. She said, “I guess I found my motivation.”

I offered to chase her through her next race with a SuperSoaker, but she said she would just let me pass. So maybe a squirt gun isn’t as powerful of motivator as the threat of rain on an early morning run. But whatever works!

Also, I just wanted to link to something that blew my mind. Last week, Jill (she being of awesome first name) over at Finishing is Winning wrote a post entitled: Props Wednesday – Meet Jill. And it is full of wonderful and kind things about me. I was so flattered and surprised by this gesture. Thank you Jill!
