In honor of the fact that it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that the awesome video my mom and I are in was released yesterday, I have decided I am going to run the Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon on behalf of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. I will wear as much pink as possible during the race!
More importantly I am collecting donations for the cause. Here’s the kicker… I REALLY want to see how much we can raise by asking people for just $1. I tried doing this last year, but it was hard because I had a fundraising minimum that I had to meet. This time I have no minimum, just a wish to help a cause I believe.
So if you’ve got a spare $1 knockin’ around, please consider donating. I’m sure most people can afford that!

I think this is a really neat strategy, Jill (and a great cause, by the way). Sometimes, I think, people feel badly that they don’t have much to give, and so they just don’t give anything at all. But even I can afford a dollar (and I’m unemployed, so this is saying a lot!) 🙂
