Pain in the Rear!

Last night when I got home from my run, I was taking off my tights and all the sudden felt an intense pain in my left glute.

OUCH OW OWIE OW OW OW!

I don’t know what the deal is or if I should keep running on it. I’ll give it a try but, WOW… that is one severe pain!

On Monday I went running and experienced quite the range of weather in 4 short miles. The first mile was just flat-out cold. The winds picked up (right in my face) for the second mile. The third mile had the sun coming out for a minute, causing me to warm up a little. But the fourth mile started drizzling, so I was cold again.

Let me just say… I cannot wait for the summer. At least then you know to just throw on a shirt/shorts and you’re good to go. This whole battle of trying to figure out how many layers I need to wear to be comfortable is no fun!

I haven’t posted any “Monday Motivation” for the past two weeks. Two weeks ago I didn’t really feel any motivational thoughts, so I just kept to myself.

This week, well I had the day off for the President’s Day holiday, so my goal was to stay off the computer as much as possible! The dream of having some of my stress reduced was motivating enough for that goal to work!

  1. Let’s just get through the 10K this weekend. I’m seriously reconsidering doing Six Tunnels. I’ve had IT pain from my right hip down to my knee ever since the marathon. Have I mentioned that my bod isn’t cut of for this? HAHA 😉

  2. i hope your rear feels better! 🙂

i totally agree on the ease of warmer-weather running! i am tired of checking the temp/weather to see what i need to wear and worrying about being over/under-dressed.
