  1. ohhh pick me!! After a long run I like to much on pretzels and sports drink immediately after. Sometimes I will make a Luna recovery chocolate milk- yummy!

  2. I want some. Some of my friends have been suggesting glutamine for leg cramps after working out.

  3. I think I’ve completely documented what I drink after a long run (mimosas), but that’s probably not what you’re looking for…

Really, I use Vitalite. I’m not sure if it’s widely available. It was created by a local track coach here in San Diego. I like it because it’s not sweet and sorta tastes like I remember Gatorade tasting when I was a kid.

  4. I finish whatever water or gatorade is left then I go to starbucks and get a grande, non-fat, sugar free hazelnut, no foam misto. After every single long run. I am a creature of habit.

  5. pre-workout it’s usually a few sips of water, I don’t like to have much in the stomach during a run…afterwards I usually go for a protein drink–Body Fortress Why Protein Chocolate, powder mixed with milk.

  6. I usually pack a pre-made Muscle Milk with me to a long run so I can drink it soon after I am done. I am not a huge fan of chocolate, so it isn’t my favorite. I would love something different.

  7. Just as important as restoring electrolytes, I notice that when I have glutamine in my recovery drink, my recovery is faster and more complete.
