The honest truth? I didn’t run while on vacation.
Sure, my resort said it had a running path. But it was covered in a fine dusting of sand and the winds were fierce, so I used that as an excuse to not run.
Sure, people were running around the city sidewalks everywhere I looked, but I was in a different time zone and my internal clock was off, so I used that as an excuse to not run.
And I was on vacation, the point was to relax, so I used that as the best excuse to not run! 🙂
But I’m back in the “real world” and need to get back on track. I did come home from Mexico a little sick to my stomach. That feeling has persisted over the past couple days. Despite the queasiness, I still got up this morning to run.
It was kind of hard.
Not terrible, but it did take me 45 minutes to go 4 miles. I had to stop and walk a couple times because of cramping in my stomach. But I still did the 4 miles this morning and it felt good to move again. (Kind of felt good to move again, I mean… I was sick!) I’m eager to get back to a schedule now.
