Merry Christmas Eve

This morning was one I wish I could repeat more often. I did a 4 mile run at 7 AM around my neighborhood. After that I came home and did a 40 minute yoga practice. Then I followed it all up with a delicious bowl of multigrain hot cereal cooked with a banana, peanut butter drizzled on top and a mug of hot cocoa.

I really wish I could have more moments filled with leisurely and completely satisfying exercise instead of rushing to take care of work and household duties. But I will take these small moments when they come and be grateful!

Silver Note Medal 2008

I leave you with this goofy photo of me with my Silver Note medal I received in the mail today. It is for completing two full Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathons during 2008. It says “52.4 Miles of Musical Marathons * Finisher *”. If I had anticipated it’s arrival today, I might have actually fixed my hair for a picture… but then, who has nice hair when they’ve earned a marathon medal anyway, right?

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season, filled with warmth, family and friends.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

That’s cool. Two marathons in one year, WOW.

I’d also love to have that much time to exercise and do yoga – heading out for a run now!

HI Jill, I’m 39 and training for my first rock n roll at 40 in San Diego. You have a very inspirational site here. I’ll be back, and keep it up.
