Yikes! That’s intense, but part of spring running in a lot of places. At least it’s not raining too! The 2nd part of my run yesterday I ended up heading into a 20mph headwind w/rain – could barely breathe! Yes, better to wait for the calm after the storm :-)

Yeah, rain and wind would make it hard! When we get these kinds of winds (60+ mph gusts) it really kicks up a lot of dust/dirt in the air since the desert is so dry. It’s definitely hard to breathe in that mess! Good job pushing through on your run!

HAHAHA!! That was pretty funny. :)

It looks tamer than it actually was. We have tons of broken tree branches and my house sounded like it was going to blow away last night. I am SO over this. And worse, I’ve picked up the new title of “allergy sufferer,” a group I’d managed to avoid most of my life. :(

Here’s to sunny days. Hell, I’ll take 120 degrees over wind any day.

Looked like a normal day here in Colorado! No really, I’ve heard a lot about the Vegas winds. I’ve ran the LV half marathon once in 2007 and the full in 08 & 09. The only thing you have to worry about is the wind. Maybe that’s why the race starts so dog gone early!
